Landline Telephones are located at key locations around the map and are able to be used to dial out to various telephone numbers in the game. Initially, the player has access to a single telephone; the one in their Home. An additional phone can be found and used in the Speedway's small apartment.
Since Landline Telephone Service is fully separate from the Power Grid and has it's power source, telephones do not need any power from the grid, or the Portable Generator. That means, even when power is out and the Generator is not running, the telephone is still fully capable of operation, and can be used by the Player without any issues.
