Léo is a stray, skittish dog added in the v0.323 update. Player have the ability to adopt Léo as a pet, but the process can take some time to complete, since his trust must be gained over the course of several in-game days.
Things to do First[]
At first, it is possible to hear about him from Melanie, at the Decorations Store. Speaking to her will give the player new lines of dialogue, ranging from what his favorite treats are, to where the player can start looking for him.
While there, the player should grab a few bags of treats from the display (the flavor doesn't matter), and load them up into their vehicle. Next, they have to pull up their map, and locate the circle marked "Léo" near the bottom left side: This is where the next destination will be.
Where to Find Léo, and How to Tame Him[]
After reaching the marked location, the player will be greeted with several discarded packages of dog treats, and a PRENEZ GARDE AU CHIEN (BEWARE OF DOG) sign tacked to a tree.
With a bag of treats in hand, start following the bags of treats right up to the tree line. Léo likes to hide among the trees, and he'll slowly start making his way towards the player. After the player stops moving, he'll slowly creep up to them, takes the treat bag from their hand, and runs back into the forest. If the player moves however, Léo will turn around and runs back into the trees immediately, forcing them to repeat the whole process.
This will gain a single point of trust from him, and the progress is viewable in the Friendship tab in the pause menu. It is possible to only gain a single point per day right now, so the player has to come back tomorrow and repeat this process.
Taking Léo Home[]
Continue giving him treats for an additional seven days, until the Friendship is at level eight. At this level, Léo will bring the player his dog bed, and they'll gain his full trust! Placing the bed in the passenger seat of a vehicle, and interacting with it will call Léo to sit in it.
Now the player is free to take him back home, buy additional pet supplies from Melanie, and begin taking care of their new furry friend!
